Sign your teens up today for the Teen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training! Held at the Fire Department on 2 November 2024 from 10:00AM – 2:00PM!
Hosted by Military & Family Readiness Center, Youth Center, and Team Minot.
This nationally recognized program is designed to certify 9th-12th graders in emergency and disaster response and recovery operations. A total of 20 hours of training that include medical operations, disaster psychology, search & rescue, and more is required for full certification. Teens will be able to take their training records with them to any of the almost 3,000 established CERT programs around the country and will also receive a go-bag full of essentials to safely carry out their duties.
2 November’s training is the first step to becoming a fully certified Teen CERT volunteer, and will cover basic CPR and first aid, fire safety & utility controls. Regardless of the decision to complete all the Teen CERT requirements in future courses, your teens will walk away with potentially life-saving knowledge
