The Roughrider Golf Course is a challenging nine-hole course located near the Base and can be entered directly from US Highway 83. You don’t have to go through the base gate; however, visitors must be signed in by a valid ID holder.
The course is essential to the entertainment and recreation program at Minot Air Force Base. The complex is managed and maintained in a relaxed country club atmosphere and offers nine holes, a driving range, putting green, chipping green, and picnic area. The club house includes a pro shop and snack bar/lounge.
The course was built in the 1970’s and has seen many improvements over the past 30 years. An aggressive tree planting program enhanced the beauty and greatly increased the challenges of this nine-hole golf course.
Rough Rider Golf Course offers a wide variety of events and tournaments scheduled to target all ages and skill levels, from youth, ladies, men, and couples to retirees.
